This is a page all about the tavern and what we provide and how you can hire it out. Great for extravagant parties or as an immersive full bar at long form LARP events.

Tavern Event F A Q

  • Can I buy drinks directly at tavern events?

    Yes we will have cash and card payment facilities.

    You can purchase them one at a time or purchase a 10 drink drink card to reduce payments.

  • Can I bring in my own alcohol into the Dawnstone Tavern?

    Yes, you can bring in alcohol in your immersive vessel but nothing to refill it (eg. you may bring in a tankard of wine, but no wine bottle to top it up)

  • Do I need a thematic cup/my own

    As is tradition at LARP events, all drinks will be poured into thematic vessels. If you lack your own, the Tavern has a moderate collection of spare cups.

  • Can my event have BYO

    Yes your event can include BYO and the Dawnstone tavern.

What is on offer for the drinks cards?

The cards have 10 x “1 standard drink” drinks. You can select from:

  • Dawnstone Mead
  • Dawnstone Blud Mead
  • Brunswick Aces Gin & Tonic
  • Brunswick Aces Vodka Soda
  • Brunswick Aces Spiced Spirit & Ginger
  • Harcourts Cider
  • Keeper Pilsner
  • Bridge Road Brewers IPA
  • Shiraz Wine
  • Rose Wine
  • Pinot Grigio Wine
  • Brunswick Aces Non-alcoholic Gin & Tonic

  • Cocktails (these are 2 standard drinks so can be exchanged for 2 punch cards)

Water will be freely available at no charge

Due to the lack of refrigeration in the tavern there will be no soft drinks available outside those used to mix spirits

What does a drink mean?

Every drink at the Dawnstone tavern will be sold as 1 standard drink of it's type

What does my drinks Card look like?

You will get a small Dawnstone punch card. Each drink will be punched out of the card until they’re all gone

When do I get the drinks Card?

You will get the cards at the event from the Dawnstone Tavern in person. Just show your ID and your receipt to one of the bar wenches(Oberon or Stephen).After bump-in is complete

Is the Tavern 18+ only

Yes

Can I take alcohol out of the tavern?

All drinks purchased must be consumed within the redline of the Tavern

Will I need my ID?

In accordance with Victorian Liquor Licencing, all patrons should prepare to be carded when entering the tavern or purchasing alcohol.
